Durable 1.27 mm pitch industrial connector with cable assembly

Harwin has expanded its Archer Kontrol board-to-board industrial connector product portfolio to meet cable-to-board requirements. According to customer feedback, the company has just launched an off-the-shelf IDC cable assembly option to match the existing discrete connector assembly. These products can now be obtained directly from inventory through Harwin's global distributor network.
On each of these components, the ribbon cable is equipped with female connectors at both ends, making it easier for engineers to install the Archer Kontrol unit into the system. Cable lengths of 150 or 300 mm are available from stock, other lengths are available on request. IDC design provides engineers with a low-key, highly flexible solution that will be bent sharply to fit tight spaces. The horizontal cable exit direction also saves a lot of headroom above the connector.
The new cable assembly supports all existing contact numbers in the connector series (12, 16, 20, 26, 32, 40, 50, 68, and 80). In order to provide higher durability, there is a gold-plated glitter finish on the contact area. An efficient locking mechanism ensures that the cable is fixed, resistant to vibration and accidental disconnection. These components are optimized for modern industrial environments because they can handle data rates up to 3 Gbits/s.
Archer Kontrol connectors have received a lot of attention in the past two years and are used in industrial drives, factory automation systems, IIoT, robotics, rugged handheld devices, and other applications. They are highly resilient to vibrations, mechanical shocks, high humidity, and extreme temperatures that are common in modern industrial environments. In addition, their shielded contacts prevent potential damage caused by mismatches and ensure continuous interconnection integrity.
